When you hear your parents in bed…
Nobody wants to think about their parents having sex. Even the thought of it is enough to make one shutter. But while some of us can be horrified by the mere thought of our parents going at it, some unfortunate souls are daunted by real life images of catching their parents in the middle of the act. I am extremely fortunate to have never encountered this, but some of my less fortunate friends have (or, thought they have).
The night was starting as any other. After watching a movie with her parents, Ella’s ma and pop decided to hit the hay. Ella sorted through the television stations but nothing caught her attention. So, she decided to head upstairs to her bedroom. She put on her comfy pajamas, crawled under the covers and opened up her book. She was mid-paragraph when a strange noise broke the silence. She looked up from her book and heard it again. It was a low squeak, the sound of a mattress being pushed on. Ella could not believe what she was hearing. She turned on her TV to drown out the sound, but the noise of the mattress got louder and louder and at a more frequent pace. Just when Ella thought she couldn’t take it anymore, she heard something that haunted her more than the noise of a shaking bed. She heard her mother say, ‘You are a bad boy.”
Ella got out of bed, grabbed a pillow and slept in the basement. The next morning, her parents all smiles, asked her why she slept downstairs.
“As if you don’t know,” she responded angrily. “I am not talking to you about it.”
Her parents looked confused. Concerned about their daughter’s welfare, they asked again. “Honey, you can tell us what is bothering you.”
“I heard you guys last night,” she snapped. “I can’t believe you would do that when I was trying to sleep.”
That was when her parents laughed. And they laughed hysterically for a long time. This only angered Ella more. Just as she was about to head up to her room, her parents told her what really happened that night. Just as they were getting into bed, they noticed a wet spot covering the mattress. The dog had peed in their bed and the noises were them cleaning the mattress and her mother was disciplining her dog, not her father.
Thankfully, this story ends with a happy ending. But what I want to know is how many people have actually caught their parents doing the dirty? What was the reaction by both you and your parents? If you have a story, share!
